OLATUNJI ABIMBOLA OKUSANYA – BIOGRAPHY

He was born on Tuesday , the 12th July, 1983 to late Mr. Olatunji Adedeji Okusanya and Mrs. Omobola Okusanya (nee Erogbogbo) in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

His early education began at St. Child’s Nursery school in Surulere, Lagos 1985 to 1988.

He had his primary school education at St. Saviour’s School, Ebute-Metta, in Lagos from 1989 to 1994

His secondary education was at Ronik Comprehensive School, Ejigbo, Lagos from 1994 to 2000. He was a punctuality prefect.

Tunji okusanya, Junior, as he was fondly called, obtained a Diploma in Psychology from the University of Lagos in 2001.

To further his carrier, he enrolled in Unilag 9University of Lagos) and bagged a degree in Banking and Finance in 2006.

He was a Believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was baptised as a child in 1989 at St.John’s church Aroloya, Lagos Island. He personally affirmed the Christian Faith as an adult at The chapel of the Healing Cross, Idiaraba, Surulere, Lagos In February 2004.

He was a young entrepreneur who started work, right from his primary school holidays in his father’s funeral undertaking business known as MIC Caskets —- a company his father, late Mr. Olatunji Adedeji Okusanya veered out of his own father’s (late Mr. Theophilus Oladipupo Okusanya’s) Magbamowo Industrial Company work. He was the 3rd generation providing funeral services.

By the time he graduated from University, MIC Caskets had grown to become MIC ROYAL Ltd and he had also become the business Development Director. He worked most of the time in the background development new strategies to revolutionise the company with his father as the Managing Director.

As a young and industrious man, he also had his own personal business called LTJ Prestigious Services which was into general contracting and real estate. He was passionate about the funeral industry in Nigeria and was poised to make a great and positive impact with his pet projects which, included: ‘Hotel for the Dead’ and ‘Cemetery Care Volunteers’.

He was a God-fearing young man, highly respectful, hardworking, generous and so full of life.

He strived for the best at all times.

Sadly, this exceptionally wonderful life was cut short in his prime in the ill-fated Associated Airline plane crash on the 3rd October 2013 in Lagos while on a funeral undertaking assignment. He died alongside his father Mr. Olatunji Adedeji Okusanya and four members of the MIC staff, Chijioke, Kingsley, Akeem and Samson.

He will be greatly missed by family, friends and business associates.
